Nia Pristas

Nia Pristas is so excited to join the Bellevue Youth Choirs as the Prelude Choir Assistant! Originally from Alaska, Nia holds a bachelor’s degree in Choral Music Education from Western Washington University. There, she served as an Assistant Music Director for WWU’s opera theatre program and as a Choral Faculty Assistant for the WWU Music Department. Nia’s passions include learning music from around the world and advocating for arts accessibility, especially in rural areas. She’s excited to begin her first year in the Tahoma School District this fall, teaching middle school choir. In her free time, Nia enjoys finding new places to hike and dreaming about international travel. Since she’s new to the area, she’ll enjoy any food recommendations you have for her!
