About

Lyrica

Lyrica offers singers in grades 5–8 a fun and meaningful way to grow musically, build friendships, and explore exciting performance opportunities beyond the classroom. Here's what makes Lyrica special:

  • Musicianship & Music Literacy
Singers learn to read music, improve their vocal technique, and develop the skills to become confident, independent musicians. This choir level works towards performing 2-3+ part harmonies.
  • Exciting Performance Opportunities
In addition to our three Mainstage concerts, Lyrica performs at community events and outreach performances that inspire joy and connection through music.
  • Workshops & Touring
This past season, Lyrica participated in Youth Festival NW—an overnight festival in Tacoma with a nationally recognized guest clinician. In future seasons, we’re excited to grow our tour offerings to include regional and even international opportunities!
  • World & Historical Repertoire
Our singers explore music from around the globe and across time. Whether it’s a folk song from another culture or a powerful contemporary piece, our repertoire invites movement, joy, emotional connection, and cultural appreciation.
  • Supportive, Inclusive Environment
Lyrica is a place to belong. Singers join a diverse, welcoming community where they are encouraged to grow, connect with others, and find joy in making music together.
  • Skill-Building for Life
Choir nurtures teamwork, focus, creativity, and confidence—all skills that benefit students far beyond the rehearsal room.

New choristers are accepted during our Fall and January enrollment periods after a vocal placement/audition.
