
Chiao Yu Wu
Taiwanese pianist Chiao-Yu Wu is in her fourth year of Doctor of Musical Art in Piano Performance at the University of Washington, under the tutelage of Robin McCabe. She received her Undergraduate degree from Royal Academy of Music and Master degree from University of Michigan School of Music. Her competition accomplishments include American Protege International Concerto Competition (2024), University of Washington Piano Concerto competition (2023), Taiwan 2nd International Classical and Traditional Music Awards (2018), the 4th Annual Camerata Concerto Competition (2017), the Delius Prize of the Royal Academy of Music (2015). She loves sharing the beauty of music with others. Apart from playing in professional venues, she enjoys performing in senior living houses, hospitals, and churches. She has been teaching the Piano as a teaching assistant at UW, and in 2023 she received the “ finalist of Excellence in Teaching Awards”. Outside of music, she loves visiting art museums, watching ballet and operas, baking and yoga.
